  • Of course Congress is coddling them. Congress gets a lot of their campaign donations from them, so they can't risk making them angry.

  • People seem to not realize that this price hike is not a matter of Netflix just wanting more money. All of the studios that provide content to Netflix are planning on charging Netflix SIGNIFICANTLY more for the rights to stream their TV shows, movies, etc.

  • How about eliminating government pensions and having all those government employees, including lawmakers, use social security as their retirement plan just like everybody else? Pensions are a huge boondoggle on us. And reducing the amount of time people can be on unemployment would help too.

  • Unless I missed it, why isn't there some sort of link in this article to a document that details exactly what the article is talking about? You'd think that an article about people not knowing what was in the bill would have detailed all of the main things that are (and aren't) in the bill.

  • This is a historic bill. It may not be everything it should (thanks to politicians) but it's a great start. And the penalties are paltry.

  • As a lifelong gamer, I'm still amazed that Nintendo didn't put HD in the Wii in the first place. It makes a HUGE difference w/ an HDTV!
